One of the best runway shows from February 2016’s Atlantic City Fashion Week #ACFW featured the amazing shoe collection of designer John Ashford. Authentic by John Ashford’s styles are hand-crafted, spectacular works of art that make a statement on and off the runway. This unique brand defines couture with high fashion and art and it was a thrill to see his work in-person. The opening designer at the Atlantic City Fashion Week #ACFW runway show on February 27 at The Claridge Hotel was a remarkable way to open the show. The show featured many amazing uses of fabric, but designer Ellen Durken is actually a blacksmith who uses her forge to create amazing designs fashioned from metal.
Ellen’s work is wonderful both for its creativity and how striking it makes the models look on the runway. It was amazing to see how creative her designs are, and how they stretch the definitions of fashion and style. See more of her bad-ass approach to high fashion at her website www.ellendurkan.com. What a striking way to kick-off the show. This design set the creative tone for a wonderful evening.
I loved attending Atlantic City Fashion Week at The Claridge Hotel on February 27. The founders and executive producers of #ACFW, Lamont and Jeana Bowling, put on amazing shows and always great take care of me! (On a side note, I am really excited for their new project, SOHO Fashion Week, which makes its debut in May!)
One of the highlights for me was the show from #designer Samina Mughal. Samina’s work has been internationally recognized for her glamorous collection of clothing and accessories. As you know, I love things that sparkle and have lots of glam, and her work brought shine and glitter to the runway.

One of the highlights for me at Atlantic City Fashion Week this past October was the Aprillegrace Love & Couture collection from LA fashion designer Aprille Grace. Her beautiful collection was both hot and glamorous and I just love the gold fabrics. I’m excited that she’ll be back at ACFW in the spring and can’t wait to see what her next collection will have to offer.

I was thrilled to receive an invitation to the TOUS & Harper’s Bazaar celebration of the latest TOUS Collection at the TOUS Rockefeller Center Store (610 5th Avenue, New York City) on November 12. (We got to see the Rockefeller Christmas Tree starting to go up!)
Hosted by the fabulous Alana Quagliariello, ShopBAZAAR Editor, this posh event featured champagne, hors d’oeuvres and lots of wonderful TOUS jewelry, bags and accessories, not to mention a warm, friendly crowd, a lot of fun, and some of my favorite TOUS friends.

I had such a great time at the Lactrodectus ribbon cutting and grand opening party yesterday. So many great people were there and I hope this new family business will have a lot of success.
The highlight for me was my red carpet interview, conducted by journalist and model Niara Johnson, for Fashion In The Fast Lane TV. (How amazing is that green dress?) I hope to get video to post later, but here’s a photo from the interview.
My friend Niara was the winner of last year’s Fashion In The Fast Lane Ultimate Runway Walk-Off Competition and has a lot of great things ahead of her, both as a model and a fashion journalist. On Saturday, October 24, I was invited to attend a ribbon cutting grand opening of Lactrodectus, a new clothing store in East Rutherford, NJ (110 Hackensack St, East Rutherford, NJ 07073). I hope everyone in the East Rutherford area will stop by and support this new local family fashion business!
The special guest for the ribbon cutting was New Jersey singer, artist and model Pastele Pasquelina. This multi-talented artist and performer is an accomplished visual artist, along with her stunning modeling work and high-energy live performances.

I was so fortunate to be invited to the launch event for the Philadelphia Fashion Alliance (PFA), held at Wetherill Mansion, South 18th Street on October 11, 2015.
The Philadelphia Fashion Alliance is an alumni group for designers of the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator. Its purpose is to create a support network for these designers to promote the growth and success of not only their businesses but also the Philadelphia Fashion Industry as a whole. Since I love to support and promote the local fashion scenes in our area, I was thrilled to participate and see of the wonderful designs and styles coming out of this vibrant city.
I was first introduced to the brilliant work of designer Jovan O’Connor at her New York Fashion Week AMONYC show, so I was especially excited to find out that she’s a member of the PFA and would be a part of this event. A number of her beautiful dresses were on display and I was very happy to see a lot of people checking out (and buying!) her styles.
